GETTING WHAT YOU WANT

We’ve all used and felt the emotion of the statement “Doin' what I gotta do”!
What are the necessities in your life? What value do you place on those necessities? Are you getting what you want in your life?
Some people put unnecessary pressure, resources, and energy into attaining “necessities” that we think will bring peace, serenity, and lasting health.

After living 60+ years of a blessed and protected life, I’ve come to realize that there are just a few necessities (at least for me):
• Wake up each day with gratitude for breath & life
• Live in the present moment
• Observe and care for my thoughts & health
• Give my time and focus to activities that yield positive results
• Pray and turn everything over to the creator
I’m learning that only after years of life experiences, do we fully understand what true necessities are. We are oriented and groomed to believe that lifestyle, abundant material acquisitions, money, fame, and power, position us in “feel-good” places. Those things, however, do not matter to the soul.

If we wake up in the morning with emotional turmoil, or with a diseased body, or with fear and anger etched in our psyche, the first place to go is inward. Inward for insight and answers. Inward for prayer, guidance, and direction. Inward for healing and peace!
Conversely, if we wake up in a place of peace, good health, and joy, the first place to go is inward with expressions of gratitude and commitment to prioritize the “necessities” that make life good.
Blessings & Love!
